THE world is a cruel place. But there are the occasional moments that make us stop and smile at some of the random yet heartwarming events.
It is a reminder that not everything is expected, and the unexpected has a way of making life more colourful. Take it from this interesting video of three men in bright yellow Pua Chu Kang boots who were seen dancing with their goats.
“We, as men, are so easily entertained,” said @bckupacc99 who posted the video on X recently. A fitting statement indeed for bright-booted farmers who go about prancing with their livestock for no good reason. Then again, who needs a reason to dance with their goats?

But here is the most important question of them all. Can goats dance by themselves without the help of farmers in atrocious looking yellow boots?
Strangely, the answer is yes. A unique breed of goat from India, called the Nachi Bakra, is capable of putting even an elite tap dancing human to shame.
Note, however, that the animal isn’t exactly dancing, but makes rhythmic steps while swaying its head. The Nachi Bakra is decorated for performances as well as for celebrations.
According to a netizen on reddit, the creature exhibits this unique gait due to the breed being selectively chosen for a flaw.
“Anatomically, shoulder joints are not attached securely in Nachis, nor is the upper joint of the fore arm and therefore animals cannot jump as freely as in other breeds,” said cheesalady, adding that the kids have difficulty getting up for the first free days and may need assistance to suckle.
Not so cute now, when these facts are mentioned. Perhaps goats were never meant to dance after all. These lovable four-legged beasts should just be eating grass and performing the occasional assisted dance to warm our hearts. —July 30, 2025
