PEOPLE who love watching Chinese fantasy shows or kung fu movies can rejoice. You need not take 50 years of your time to master some epic kung fu to levitate a sword now, all thanks to technology.
Recently, a student from China went viral for demonstrating his prototype sword that not only flies, but is able to maneuver about just with the flick of a hand.

The Internet community went bonkers, with a good many netizens pointing out that it should be weaponised.
But looking at the design, one can easily note that it was nothing more than a drone technology being slapped onto a piece of metal. However, the stability of the “sword” was still commendable and the fact that it was motion controlled added to the appeal.
“Ok so in how many weeks will this be adapted for the russo-ukrainian war,” said @JulianCaraulani who is obviously following the conflict in Eastern Europe.
Geopolitics is intensifying in the comment section with @brokolieydog imagining a thousand of these swords descending upon Taiwan. The fact that it was made in China made the comment even more biting.
Netizen @_rebas_ added that the sword maker should extend his creativity to assault rifles too.
But @nosinglefuck was unimpressed.
Towards his comment, @Quindly said it was possible to use it as a weapon, although it was never mentioned as being optimal.
But the magic of this novelty was soon dispelled by a sharp-eyed @nicongdev who remarked that this was not a prototype, but an actual product any Tom, Dick, and Harry could get for about 30 bucks. Not so impressive after all.
Another netizen did a quick search and verified his comment.
Then there was @NoblePhares, further pointing out the fact that these drone techs had been out since several years back.
“It’s cool, but I could built it with $100 bucks and 20 hours to spare,” he boasted. So much for the drone-powered sword and the brief magical moment it brought onto the online stage.
