SPECULATION is rife that Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz’s entry into the Ampang division could secure him a PKR parliamentary or state seat ticket, despite not holding any position in the party or division.
PKR’s Iswardy Morni wrote today on his Facebook page that he did warn followers that Tengku Zafrul will be given a seat in Ampang.
“See, I told you. Want another prediction about what will happen? Future Ampang MP and state assemblyman… My, my, my.”
Meanwhile, Ampang PKR chief Syed Ahmad Abdul Rahman Alhadad, or better known as Altimet, said speculation over Tengku Zafrul’s entry is normal and welcomed him.
Yesterday (Aug 8), the media reported that Tengku Zafrul confirmed his membership under Ampang PKR.
“As for speculation (that will arise), that’s normal in politics.
“In Ampang PKR, there are members who don’t hold any party posts but are elected representatives, such as the deputy speaker of the Selangor state assembly (Mohd Kamri Kamaruddin),” Altimet told a local media portal. — Aug 9, 2025
