JAPAN Tobacco International Malaysia Bhd (JTI Malaysia) has appointed Khoo Bee Leng as its new managing director effective Jan 1.

She replaces Cormac O’Rourke who will assume a new role in JTI within the European region. O’Rourke has served as JTI Malaysia’s managing director since July 1, 2018.
Kedah-born Khoo brings years of experience to the role having assumed various leadership positions at JTI’s global and regional centres as well as in markets.
She started her career with AC Nielsen and joined JTI/RJ Reynolds Malaysia in 1993 by holding various roles within the marketing function, including marketing research.
During her career with JTI – in addition to time spent in Malaysia – she has worked at JTI’s headquarters in Geneva as well as at the group’s regional office in Hong Kong.
In January 2016, Khoo led the sales function in Malaysia prior to taking up her last role as general manager of JTI Myanmar in March 2018.
JTI Malaysia is part of Japan Tobacco International, a leading international tobacco manufacturer and member of the Japan Tobacco Group of Companies.
